Last year, we were able to serve 1,075 households in the Proviso area and other West Suburban communities. We know that the holidays can be a challenging time for many and we hope that this outreach will bring joy and peace of mind to our neighbors so they are able to enjoy a joyful and bountiful Thanksgiving. Guided by our community members, the boxes contain staple ingredients used to prepare Thanksgiving dinner, such as beans, rice, pasta, gravy, and more. Families will also be provided with a small box of fresh produce, and a grocery store gift card to help offset the cost of other perishable items needed for dinner. We look forward, with your help, to be prepared to provide food for 1,000+ families this year by packing 1200 boxes!! 

HOW TO REGISTER FOR A FOOD BOX (deadline: Wednesday, November 19, by 6PM)
Forms received after 6PM on November 19 are LATE | Information left by phone is NOT registering.

• Come to the Quinn Center on the following dates to fill out a thanksgiving box form. A completed form is required for registration. A phone call or email is not enough.
• In-person registration available at the Quinn Center

  • Tuesday - Thursday 11/4, 11/5, 11/6, 11/11, 11/12, 11/13, 11/18 & 11/19 from 12pm-6pm​

how to support this project

1. VOLUNTEER
Volunteers are needed on site to help us set up, sort donations, pack boxes, and assist during our drive-through distribution. We can also use some extra help with home deliveries if you have a vehicle and are interested. Children of any age are welcome with parental supervision. Contact Quinn Center Office Manager ([email protected]) with any questions about volunteering.

2. DONATE FOOD ITEMS
Drop off donations at the Quinn Center before Wednesday, November 19. 
You can also donate food items through our wishlist on Amazon and have them shipped directly to the Quinn Center. Amazon does not disclose sender information, so please send us an email at [email protected] if you make a donation so that we can thank you accordingly. 

3. DONATE GIFT CARDS
Please purchase gift cards in $10 denominations to Jewel, Target, Walmart, Tony's Fresh Market, or Aldi. 
Gift cards can be dropped off at the Quinn Center between 10AM and 7PM, Tuesday-Thursday until Wednesday, November 16. Please ring the doorbell at door #1 to drop off gift cards.
