Kids, families, and community volunteers are helping make Maywood a healthier place to live by planting a variety of fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The garden also serves as a great educational resource, where youth can participate in science activities and art projects. The fresh produce is shared with soup kitchen and food pantry guests as well as Quinn Center of St. Eulalia participants and volunteers.
The garden is supported by:
Nazareth Academy & Congregation of St. Joseph: Community Builders of Peace
Clovers Garden Center
UIC Extension Master Gardeners
Laudato Si' Initiative of the Archdiocese of Chicago
