APPLICATION PROCESS
Submit the application by 11:59pm CST on February 13, 2026.

• EMAIL: Email application to [email protected] 
• DROP OFF: Place application in the drop box located outside of Door #1 on Lexington Ave.
• REGULAR MAIL: Mail to Quinn Center, Attn: Scholarship, 815 Lexington St. Maywood, IL 60153 

OVERVIEW
The “Drive to Succeed” Scholarship is an annual award that supports individuals looking to further their personal or professional development through education. All types of educational experiences are considered, including training programs, technical school, community college, workshops, licensing/certification, and other continuing education classes.

AWARD DETAILS

• Typical scholarship award: $500-$1,000 (maximum $3,000)
• Scholarship is renewable (up to 4 awards per individual)
  • Prior recipients MUST REAPPLY each year and consecutive awards are NOT GUARANTEED
• Scholarship recipients are EXPECTED to:
  • Attend our Cultivate Quinn event on May 16th to be recognized publicly
  • Submit invoices or tuition bills in a timely manner via a Google form (to be shared)
  • Attend a follow-up lunch in January (TBD) for a midterm check-in 
  • Complete a brief final report at the end of the class/academic term completion is due by April 30, 2027
• Award will be paid directly to the educational institution or vendor. 
• Funds must be requested and disbursed by March 26, 2027 or they will be forfeited. 

​ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Minimum age: high school freshman (no maximum age, adult learners are welcome to apply!)
• Demonstrated involvement with/connection to the Quinn Center
• While not a requirement, preference will be given to Proviso Township residents 
• Open for traditional AND non-traditional learners (ie. trade school, skill-based classes, etc) 

TIMELINE

• Application opens: January 13
• Application closes: February 13
• Interviews: March 16
• Reference checks: late March
• Awardees notified: April 13
• Award funds distributed: August 18-March 26 (Requested via Google form)

DESCRIPCIÓN GENERAL
La beca "PODER PARA TRIUNFAR" es una ayuda financiera anual que apoya a las personas que buscan promover su desarrollo personal o profesional a través de la educación. Se consideran todos los tipos de experiencias educativas, incluidas caminos tradicionales (matrícula de la escuela secundaria o universidad) y caminos no tradicionales (programas de formación, escuela técnica, colegio comunitario, talleres, certificaciones / licencias, etc.)

DETALLES DEL PREMIO

• Premio de beca típico: $ 500- $ 1,000 (máximo $ 3,000)
• La beca es renovable (hasta 4 premios por individuo)
  • Los beneficiarios anteriores deben volver a presentar una solicitud cada año y no se garantizan premios consecutivos 
• SE ESPERA que los beneficiarios de las becas:
  • Asista a nuestra celebración dia Cultivar al Quinn 16 de mayo para ser reconocido públicamente
  • Presenten recibos, facturas o facturas de matrícula de manera oportuna para ser compartido a través de un Google form
  • Acompáñanos por una reunión a mitad del año académico en Enero (TBD) 
  • Completen un breve informe al final de la clase/término académico POR: 30 de Abril de 2027
• ​Los fondos se distribuirán directamente a la institución educativa.
• Los fondos deben solicitarse y desembolsarse antes del 26 de marzo de 2027, o se los perderá

CRITERIO DE ELEGIBILIDAD

• Edad mínima: primer año de secundaria (sin edad máxima, los estudiantes adultos son bienvenidos a aplicar!)
• Participación demostrada con/conexión con el Quinn Center
• Si bien no es un requisito, se dará preferencia a los residentes del municipio de Proviso
• Abierto para estudiantes tradicionales y no tradicionales (por ejemplo, escuelas de formació professional, clases basada en habilidades, etc.)

CRONOLOGÍA

• La aplicación abre: 13 de enero
• Se cierre la aplicación: 13 de febrero 
• Entrevistas: 16 de marzo 
• Contacto con las referencias: finales de marzo
• Ganadores notificados: 13 de abril​
• Desembolso de los premio: 18 de augusto hasta 26 de marzo  (Solicitado a través de Google form)
