HUNGER MINISTRY
Our objective is to provide consistent support, education and access to nutritious food, year-round, in an effort to meet the most basic human need of nourishment. The Quinn Center has always focused on meeting immediate needs, especially providing food, as a tool for building connection and belonging and a pathway for empowerment.

Thanksgiving Outreach Project
Our Thanksgiving food boxes contain all the essentials for a bountiful Thanksgiving meal for local families. In 2023, we distributed nearly 800 boxes over the course of 2 days.
VeggieRx & Real Foods Collective
VeggieRx is a subscription program that provides boxes of locally grown produce (fruits and vegetables) each week at an affordable rate. It is free for families who qualify for WIC/SNAP. For families with income levels slightly higher, the Quinn Center has funds available to subsidize or cover the price of your annual membership. Please contact us for more information or to set this up.
Real Foods Collective has been hosting weekly farm stands where produce from local Black and Latinx farmers is available for sale at reasonable prices. The Quinn Center is able to provide vouchers that can be used toward the purchase of fresh and healthy food at these markets. Contact us to request some. There is no cost for these--our goal is simply to make nutritious food items more affordable and accessible in our community.
